Tell EPA: Protect People and Wildlife, Not GE

Event Date:
Wednesday, July 19, 2017 -
6:00pm to 8:00pm

Saratoga Hilton (Saratoga County) - The Hudson River remains contaminated far above the thresholds established in EPA’s cleanup plan, and people continue to be exposed to toxins at unacceptable levels. The EPA is claiming success in its five-year review of the Hudson River Superfund cleanup, when in fact it is abandoning the cleanup and leaving two to four times more toxic PCBs in the river than it expected.

EPA is holding a public session on the status of the cleanup and we need your voice in the room. Let’s show EPA that the public's support for a healthy Hudson River cannot be ignored! Wear green to show your support for additional action to clean up the Hudson!

RSVP to this event

This is a pivotal time to make your voice heard and ensure EPA finishes the cleanup right. Submit your comments on the draft Five Year Review by email (klawinski.gary@epa.gov) to tell EPA that it needs to declare the cleanup “not protective” of human health and the environment, and that additional dredging is necessary!
