I'd like to invite you to join us on the Tarrytown waterfront next Tuesday, Oct. 20, for a groundbreaking for the new Scenic Hudson RiverWalk Park at Tarrytown. We'll be joined by Village of Tarrytown Mayor Drew Fixell, Westchester County Executive Andy Spano, U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey and Joseph Cotter, president of developer National RE/sources.

When completed in summer 2010, the park -- built on a site once marked by heavy industry -- will provide new access to the river, recreational facilities and open space against the dramatic backdrop of the Hudson and Tappan Zee Bridge.

We'll meet at 10 a.m. at the parking lot for Pierson Park on the Tarrytown waterfront. After a brief ceremony, we will share detailed plans and illustrations that showcase what the new park will look like when completed.
