Boundless Calm

Wind and current pause briefly at low tide, prodcing a scene in which river and sky become almost inseparable. The dark piles of the long derelict Knickerbocker Ice Co. pier provide stark contrast to the pastel hues of a late Sunday afternoon in December. Taken from Hook Mountain State Park, Croton Point can be seen on the distant shore.
