Art in the Park Contest

For centuries artists have been inspired by the natural beauty of the Hudson River and its surrounding valley. This spring, Scenic Hudson is celebrating all young artists in the Hudson Valley with a fun art competition for people 18 and under.

Over the past eight weeks over 400 young people created artwork inspired by a Scenic Hudson park -- or any Hudson River scene -- and submitted it to a special online gallery. Each artist's entry was entered into two separate competitions:

20 Winners Chosen at Riverfront Festival
On May 20 more than 90 young artists joined about 300 people at our "Art in the Park" Festival at Poughkeepsie's Community Boathouse. After a picnic and lots of fun activities, a panel of judges awarded first, second and third prizes in each of five age groups. Click here to see a slide show of the judges' picks.
