Donors Help Renew and Restore

Much of the Hudson River looks as it did 400 years ago when Henry Hudson sailed it in search of a water route to Asia. His accidental discovery and further exploration of a lush, majestic river valley is a scene played out more and more these days as residents and visitors alike experience the inspiration and renewal of our unique region.
The Hudson River and its valley supply water, food and recreation to dozens of communities and are home to the bald eagle, great blue heron, diamondback terrapin, striped bass and shad. The region's farms provide nourishment, economic stability and an open landscape that have long inspired artists and writers.

Scenic Hudson, Inc. works tirelessly to retain these assets and protect the health and quality of life of the area's residents. Our supporters make this happen through their donations.

Contributors express their generosity in many ways. Most of our donors contribute annually, either as the fiscal year closes or as their business tax year ends. Some find it convenient to make quarterly contributions along with estimated federal and state tax payments. Others make significant, one-time gifts of cash, securities and real estate in support of current projects. Finally, some set aside a sum in their estates to assure the continuation of our mission or establish trusts that can both pay income to the donor and provide a significant gift to Scenic Hudson.
The next 12 months will be extremely challenging for us given the current economic and political climate, and we look forward to your continued commitment.
