40 Years
During four decades of championing the Hudson Valley's treasured resources, we have faced complex and evolving challenges. From our beginning as a group of impassioned citizen activists to our current staff of 45 and its 700 years of combined professional experience, Scenic Hudson has proved to be an imaginative problem-solver with great staying power. We are honored to have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades - a small portion of which are listed here:
Protecting Landscapes that Awe and Inspire
1968 New York State Conservation Council and the National Wildlife Federation "Conservation Organization of the Year" award.
1983 "New York State Preservation Private Sector Award" for extraordinary achievements in historic preservation in the Hudson River Valley.
1987 Mohonk Consultations, Inc. "Distinguished Achievement Award."
1995 New York-New Jersey Trail Conference "Leo O. Rothschild Conservation Award."
1999 Rockland County Executive "Historic Preservation Merit Award."
2001 Museum of the Hudson Highlands "Chairman's Certificate of Gratitude."
2002 Garden Club of America award acknowledging significant contributions in the fields of conservation and preservation.
