Sterling Forest
Tuxedo/Monroe/Warwick, Orange County - Scenic Hudson played a key role in the creation of this 17,700-acre state park, New York's newest. Together with the Open Space Institute and the Trust for Public Land, we purchased the initial 1,400 acres of this special place, making a "down payment" on the balance of the land in order to protect it from being carved up into a large development. The park is a watershed for millions, critical habitat for resident and migratory species and a tremendous outdoor recreation area.

Storm King State Park
Storm King Mountain
Storm King Mountain
Cornwall, Orange County - Scenic Hudson's fight to protect Storm King Mountain gave rise to America's grass-roots environmental movement and served as the basis for all environmental law in this country. This 1,900-acre state park is one of the Hudson Valley's best-known landmarks and is the northern gateway to the fabled Hudson Highlands. The property is managed by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission (PIPC) and is part of Storm King State Park.
