Warren Reiss, General Counsel
Serving as Scenic Hudson's general counsel since 2000, Warren Reiss frames broad legal strategies for the organization and manages external legal teams working on specific issues. He leads Scenic Hudson's work on energy issues and Article X reform.
From 1995 to 2000, prior to becoming general counsel, Mr. Reiss was a land stewardship specialist with Scenic Hudson.
Previously he spent eight years as assistant counsel with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and earlier five years as an assistant district attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, where he served in the Trial, Special Prosecutions and Frauds bureaus.
Mr. Reiss studied law at Fordham University and the Catholic University School of Law, where he earned his law degree. He also holds a bachelor's degree in literature from Hobart College. |
