Forty years ago an organization was born dedicated to the idea that the Hudson Valley landscape must and shall be preserved. Today Scenic Hudson's vision for the valley is that the region's scenic beauty, cultural landscapes, historic assets and environmental quality are foundations for a vibrant economy and outstanding quality of life.
In November 2003, we celebrated our 40th anniversary at our birthplace -- the historic Octagon House in Irvington. Delivering the opening remarks was Wint Aldrich, former deputy commissioner of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
We hope that you'll join us in making the Hudson Valley a great place to live, work and visit. |
