Scenic Hudson's Trailmasters program involves schools and community groups by combining service with lessons of land stewardship, history and ecology to help make Scenic Hudson's Parks & Preserves more approachable and useful for visitors.
Trailmasters participants typically maintain and construct trails, landscape planters and gardens and clean up litter. Projects are designed to be age-appropriate. An optional pre-trip orientation and presentation is available to groups upon request. The interactive talk meets many schools' character building requirements.
To arrange for your school or organization to volunteer through the Trailmasters program, call (845) 473-4440, ext. 265, or e-mail jkiernan@scenichudson.org.
Group leaders see Teacher's Lounge for trip materials. |
