Reed Reports -- March 2008
And the ANSWER is...
Scenic Hudson member Ron Rosen of Poughkeepsie was the first to identify this photo as being at Scenic Hudson's Black Creek Preserve near Esopus (Ulster).
While last month's clue referred to Black Creek Preserve's most stunning man-made feature -- the suspension bridge that soars over the creek, allowing visitors to make a grand entrance into the woods -- people come here to enjoy nature first and foremost. Featuring everything from vernal pools teeming with new life to magnificent Hudson River views, it's not surprising this 130-acre haven from life's hurly-burly (located in Esopus, Ulster County) is one of our most popular parks.
Congratulations to Ron Rosen from Poughkeepsie, who, as the first to guess the correct answer, won an autographed copy of Reed Sparling's Hudson Valley Voyage: Through the Seasons, Through the Years. Try your luck with our April challenge!
