Phenology Training (Citizen Science)

Event Date:
Thursday, April 25, 2019 -
5:30pm to 7:30pm

You can help scientists track our changing climate by studying eight plant species on the Phenology Trail at Esopus Meadows Preserve. While we enjoy a pleasant hike through the forest, we’ll discuss how to observe and record seasonal changes—what phenology is all about. Attendance is only required at one of the training sessions, but you're welcome to join us for this lovely spring hike as often as you like.

Come prepared for a moderate, one mile hike: Dress for the weather and wear comfortable hiking shoes. If you're interested in collecting data via Nature's Notebook App, bring your smartphone or other smart device.
