Public Forum and Community BBQ: Peak Power and Ulster County

A free community BBQ and public forum will occur on Friday, August 10th from 6 - 8pm at Robert Post Park. Join Energy Analyst and Economist Evelyn Wright (Citizens for Local Power) and Environmental Advocacy Director Hayley Carlock (Scenic Hudson) for an overview of what it means to be living in the 'g' zone and peak energy plants; the proposed Lincoln Park Grid Support System project, a gas-fired power plant in the Town of Ulster; an overview and next steps regarding the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process for the project; and an exciting step that all Ulster County residents can take together to deter peak energy fossil plants in the future.

Getting to Robert Post Park Park Road: Take Route 32, Flatbush Road (NORTH of the Frank Sottile Blvd traffic light and SOUTH of the Route 209 overpass) Turn onto Ulster Landing Road (LEFT coming from the 209 overpass, a RIGHT coming from Frank Sottile Blvd traffic light). Go a very short distance and bear right onto Park Road Follow Park Road and bear left to enter Robert Post Park
