Tubing — Esopus Creek

Why we love it

This could be Mother Nature’s rollercoaster. It’s definitely NOT for the faint of heart — you must be on your toes at all times — but going with the flow of Esopus Creek gets the adrenaline pumping like nothing else in the Hudson Valley. The tubes have bottoms, protecting your bottom from sharp rocks, and you’ll wear a life jacket and helmet. Still, there are moments while rushing through whitewater stretches when fear can overtake enjoyment. In no time, the current gets lazier, your heart rate returns to normal and you can concentrate again on the beautiful Catskills scenery.

FYI

Town Tinker provides safety instruction prior to your trip as well as life jackets and helmets. You must be a good swimmer and over the age 12.
