Crystal Lake Community Farm

Crystal Lake Community Farm in Newburgh, New York, is a partnership between Merakay Center, the city of Newburgh, and Scenic Hudson.

The garden is situated near Crystal Lake — once a popular swimming spot but virtually abandoned since the 1970s — and adjacent Snake Hill, which offers stunning views of the city, river and the Hudson Highlands.

We had hoped to work with local community members to grow food for local soup kitchens and food pantries this season. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we are unable to welcome volunteers or visitors the garden, so we thought we’d bring you occasional video updates until we can welcome you back again.

If you’re interested in volunteering when we can once again mingle, fill out this form and we’ll be in touch.
