Mike oversees strategy and day-to-day operations at SunCommon. He joined the company in 2013, one year after its inception. Starting on the marketing side of the solar business as a Community Organizer, he worked his way up to Director of Sales and was appointed President in 2025. For most of his career, Mike focused on SunCommon’s largest projects, siting and financing solar for businesses, factories, apartment buildings, schools and farms. Mike estimates that during his career, commercial and community solar has put more than 50MW of solar energy onto the grid.
Mike served four terms in the Vermont House of Representatives where he held leadership roles as the Assistant Majority Leader and the Chair of the Government Operations and Military Affairs Committee. This experience adds policy depth to his leadership capabilities.
Mike grew up in Vermont and is a graduate of St. Michael’s College. Prior to joining the solar industry, he owned a cafe in St. Albans that was well known for its breakfast pastries and desserts.
