Why we love it

You could drive right by this trailhead without realizing it’s there. That would be a shame: Wrapped around some sports fields, a very nice two-mile loop trail takes you deep into the woods, along a creek and up to a nicer-than-you’d-probably-expect view that extends to the Hudson Highlands once the leaves drop. The trail goes uphill just enough to get your blood pumping. It’s a perfect stroll if you’re looking for a brief escape into the woods or are pressed for time.
