Erin Thérèse Riley

Senior Vice President

Since joining Scenic Hudson in a junior annual-giving position in 1997, Erin has risen to oversee our teams of development and communications experts. While continuing to guide the organization’s fundraising operations, she also is leading efforts to broaden Scenic Hudson’s impacts in the Hudson Valley’s cities, and to embrace new communications strategies that will allow us to expand our outreach and engagement.

As part of Scenic Hudson’s Executive Team, Erin sets policies and priorities and determines the organization’s overall direction. She serves as liaison with the board of directors and has responsibility for the guidelines and compliance of the governance issues for the board and organization.

She works directly with the president, the board of directors and others to establish an annual budget for Scenic Hudson and its land trust, and she serves as an advisor to the president in the analysis of opportunities, messaging, outreach strategies, partner relationships, and the development of internal and external communications.

In addition, she is responsible for the planning, messaging, outreach and execution of all Scenic Hudson events — elevating the organization’s profile and building external constituent relationships at all levels.

Erin earned her B.A. in business and music from Skidmore College. She also holds a Certificate of Fundraising Management from the Fundraising School at Indiana University-Purdue University. Prior to joining Scenic Hudson, Erin worked as a Patron Program Manager at Carnegie Hall.
