  2. Use the form below to send us your best photo, and the story behind it (just a sentence or two!).
  3. Check to see if your photo has been selected for our Top 10 Contest Gallery where community members vote for their favorite!

Guidelines & Details:

  1. We encourage you to share photos that capture your winter outdoor experiences in the Hudson Valley (no snow required!). Be sure to include people and/or pets in the shot so we can celebrate the moments that bring these places to life. Help us highlight safe, responsible outdoor fun and inspire everyone to enjoy exploring the region.
  2. Tell us about your experience. Share the details of what made it so memorable, and don’t forget to include where it happened (e.g., Poets’ Walk Park, Red Hook, N.Y.).
  3. Feel free to send multiple photos, but only one photo per person will be accepted for the Top 10 voting round.
  4. Only high-resolution photos at least 800px wide or tall will be considered.
  5. February 22, 2026 — Entries are due.
  6. February 27, 2026 — Top 10 will be announced and public voting begins. The photos will be selected by a panel of Scenic Hudson staff based on composition, relevance, and overall impact.
  7. March 8, 2026 — Public voting ends. (Don’t forget to vote for your favorite!)
  8. March 11, 2026 — Top 3 winners will be announced.
