Richard joined the New York office of law firm Sullivan & Cromwell in 1980 and became partner in 1987. He is now of counsel. His practice covers a broad range of commercial litigation, including antitrust, securities and contract disputes, and regulatory investigations. He is a member of the American Law Institute, American Bar Association, New York City Bar Association, and Federal Bar Council.
