Deidrea Miller

Deidrea is Head of Communications at Christie’s Americas based in New York. Previously, she was Director of Brunswick Group, an advisory and marketing group. Her focus is the Brunswick Arts branch, working with arts and culture organizations around the world. Previous to working with Brunswick, Deidrea served as NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Deputy Communications Director, overseeing strategy for 25 city agencies, including Cultural Affairs, Media and Entertainment, Parks, Tourism, and Economic Development. She was instrumental in redesigning Central Park’s first women’s monument to include Sojourner Truth. She also was instrumental in advocating and coordinating the removal of sensitive monuments around the city. During her time in Mayor de Blasio’s office, she was tasked with creating online cultural offerings and producing events to lift the spirits of New Yorkers during the COVID-19 crisis. Before joining the Mayor’s Office, she held leadership roles in communications and digital marketing at National Grid, New York University, and in the public sector. Deidrea is a graduate of the University of Michigan and earned her master’s from the University of Melbourne in Australia. She serves on the boards of the University of Melbourne, The Shed, and Socrates Sculpture Park.
