Why we love it

Bowdoin Park has everything kids need — a playground (much of it universally accessible) that will challenge their coordination and dexterity, a neat water-spray area to cool them off on hot summer days, a Native American rock shelter, a pond filled with turtles and croaking frogs, and a big hill to roll or sled down. What do parents get? Great Hudson River views and the satisfaction of knowing your children are spending some quality time outdoors.

More to explore

Trails that traverse the park’s 300-acre forested and rocky landscape include a wetland boardwalk and an observation platform on a Hudson River inlet.
