Nyack-Haverstraw River Trails
(Rockland County)
Why we love it
You can’t beat a run that parallels two of the Hudson Valley’s most magnificent natural features. Squeezed between the towering Palisades and the Hudson River, this 5-mile dirt trail offers a great opportunity to exercise while enjoying refreshing river breezes and expansive views. It also provides several workout options — the northerly portion features rolling terrain, while the trail nearer Nyack remains fairly level. No matter how far you run, or in what direction, you’re guaranteed an unforgettable eyeful.
More to explore
The trail passes through three state parks: Nyack Beach State Park, Rockland Lake State Park and Haverstraw Beach State Park, all of which contain additional amenities.
