The Village of Highland Falls and Scenic Hudson have collaborated to establish the Highland Falls Preserve, offering residents and visitors a walkable, scenic destination to experience nature, appreciate views of the Hudson, and explore the Village’s unique cultural history, geology, and plant life.

This 32-acre preserve features pine, maple, and oak forests, and a scenic loop trail walkable from Main Street. At just under one mile, it passes by rocky bluffs with glimpses of historic ruins and inspiring views of the Hudson River. Free and open year-round, dawn to dusk.
